Nature journaling is a way for individual children to make their own observations and connection to the natural world, through multi-media art and writing outdoors. Children will be guided in observation and reflection to record magical moments in their own natural experiences, from bugs and leaves to clouds and water.

Children will spend time in the fruit and vegetable garden, with the farm animals, and in the nearby canyons. A variety of media and journals are included in the price.

Jon likes to hike. Jon likes kids. Kids like to hike with Jon.

RHL is located in the foothill neighborhood of the Meadows, and Jon knows the trails. Kids can join Jon on Saturday mornings and safely explore the amazing canyons and crest views above Altadena.

All hikers must wear hiking footwear with sturdy grip. NO CROCS! Hikers should also bring water and a small snack if desired. Back-pack style water (like Camelbacks) are highly recommended for a hands-free hike.

For safety, hikers must stay with the group and be prepared to follow all adult instructions.
